Holness revises Martin Luther King's 'I have a dream' speech on St Mary platform

Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Leader Andrew Holness on Tuesday evening revised the famed "I have a dream" lyrics of world renowned civil rights leader, Martin Luther King, as he addressed hundreds of Labourites at a mass rally in Western St Mary.

"I have a dream that every single Jamaican child up to 18 years can go to school,  without school fees." Holness said.

 "I have a dream that every youth who leaves school and does not have a job, or going to an academic institution, has access to a skills programme .... that every single able-bodied Jamaican who want work, can have a job in Jamaica land we love ... that one day, every Jamaican can find a house that they can afford."

Holness continued saying he dreams of a day when Jamaicans can drive throughout the country without encountering pothole-filled roads; a day when there is no need for burglar bars and when Jamaica is debt free.

But unlike Martin Luther King, Holness ended with a new coinage.

"I have a plan for the dream," he declared.
