The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre understands that the magisterial recount for the controversial St Mary South Eastern constituency is close to completion.
It’s reported that up to news time 99 of the 108 boxes were counted with the PNP’s Dr Winston Green leading by six votes.
JLP candidate Dr Norman Dunn was declared the winner after the preliminary count on Election Day gave him a 127-vote majority.
However, that result was reversed after the final count and Dr Green declared the winner by nine votes.
