A dog draped in a green shirt, the colour of the Jamaica Labour Party, had to sprint from 'enemy' territory on Duke Street this morning, where People's National Party (PNP) supporters were gathered ahead of the opening of Parliament.
The dog was forced to make a quick retreat as stones and other items were thrown at it.
It eventually got away without being hit.
The PNP supporters have been raucous all morning, also hurling insults at passing Government MPs.
However, they erupted in cheers when senior party officials arrived and greeted them.
