UPDATE: Policeman who jumped into sea after being rescued still missing

The police are reporting that they are now treating the case of the policeman who allegedly jumped into the sea in Discovery Bay, St Ann, last week, as a missing person's case.

The policeman has not been seen since he reportedly drove his car into the sea last week.

Communication officer with the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) Stephanie Lindsay says the police carried out an extensive search of the area yesterday but did not find a body.

She says the police have not concluded that he drowned because of the absence of a body to prove this.
