Law enforcement personnel have raided the offices of the Manchester Parish Council.
A statement from the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) indicates that the council is among premises where a major coordinated search and seizure operation was conducted in Manchester and Clarendon this morning.
MOCA says the agency and personnel from the Financial Investigations Division are providing support to the Office of the Contractor General during the operation, which it says is ongoing.
It says several search warrants were executed and documents, cash and electronic devices relating to the investigation were seized.
MOCA did not indicate what prompted the operation.
