Cop says pistol recovered from man shot in Tivoli Gardens

Head of the Kingston West Police Division, Superintendent Howard Chambers, says a pistol was recovered from the 19-year-old man who was shot and killed in Tivoli Gardens this morning.
He said that an illegal pistol was recovered following the incident.

Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent Steve McGregor, recently transferred back to West Kingston after heading police operations in St James, confirmed reports that gunmen were firing at the police following the incident.
SSP McGregor says a police post in the community came under attack.
However, he says there were no reports of any injuries.
