An American who was in Jamaica for a funeral was among three people killed in a road traffic crash along the Duncan's bypass in Trelawny about 7:30 this morning.
Two other people have been hospitalised with injuries said to be serious.
The American was travelling in a Toyota Axio with three other people to the Sangster International Airport when it collided with a Nissan Caravan heading in the opposite direction. Three of the four persons travelling in the car died.
Investigators say it appears that speeding and a damp road surface contributed to the crash.
The deceased had come to Jamaica for a funeral and were about to return home when the crash happened.
