Chase hits 137 as West Indies draw second Test against India at Sabina Park
An unbeaten 100 from batsman Roston Chase and half-centuries from wicketkeeper Shane Dowich, Jermaine Blackwood and captain Jason Holder rallied the West Indies to a draw against India in the second Royal Stag Test at Sabina Park on Wednesday.
Resuming on 48 for four this morning with a deficit of 264 runs, the West Indies in their second innings remained at the crease the entire fifth and final day before closing 388 for six.
The 24-year-old Chase, playing in his second Test, finished unbeaten on 137, while Dowich made 74, Holder 64 and Blackwood 63.
Chase, who also claimed his first his first five-wicket haul in Tests on day three, was named man-of-the-match.
The West Indies will now turn their attention to the third Test, which will be played in St Lucia at the Darren Sammy Stadium with the Indians leading the series 1-0.
