RUM TALK – Dwight Balli, production director at J. Wray & Nephew Limited, shares information about the rum-ageing process with Kelly Tomblin, president and CEO at Jamaica Public Service Company, during a tour of the Appleton Estate Rum Tour in Siloah, St Elizabeth, on Tuesday. The tour formed part of a meeting between the two companies’ executives to discuss energy solutions and forming partnerships. Appleton Estate currently uses bagasse, a byproduct of the sugar-manufacturing process, to meet the plant’s energy needs.
