Compressed ganja estimated at $7m seized in St Ann

The Police are reporting the seizure of approximately 1,700 pounds of compressed ganja with an estimated street value of approximately $7 million.
The police say yesterday morning personnel from Narcotics and Marine division, who were at sea, carried out an operation in the Draxhall area of St Ann where a 30-foot Go-fast boat was searched.
According to the police, 38 bags containing ganja were found on the boat.
The police say the vessel, two 250-horse power engines, gallons of petrol, items of food, and other equipment were also seized.
No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
