A time of renewal – former Moravian minister on resignation of top church leaders
Former Moravian minister Dr Canute Thompson has reacted to yesterday's resignation of two top leaders of the organisation saying it signals the start of the renewal process that the church should be undertaking amid a major sex scandal rocking it.
Speaking on RJR’s Beyond The Headlines yesterday, Dr Thompson said the resignations show that both men have assessed the Moravian sex scandal and have taken responsibility as leaders.

Since Rupert Clarke's arrest on sex charges, Moravian women allegedly abused by ministers have been speaking out primarily through social media before one decided to write to the bishops on January 10.
The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre understands that another woman allegedly abused by Moravian ministers could also be making a formal complaint to the bishops soon.
