Montague said the new MOU will provide more protection along Jamaica's southern and north-eastern coast.
The Jamaica customs agency said it will be donating equipment to the JCF marine division to increase their crime fighting efforts at sea.
Under the memorandum, the JCF and Jamaica Customs will jointly establish marine bases at the Rocky Point, Clarendon, James Bond Beach, Oracabessa, St Mary and Little Ochi, Manchester.
Acting Commissioner of Police Novelette Grant, stressed that the MOU represents yet another step in ensuring the security of Jamaica’s borders.
