Elderly woman killed in downtown Kingston blaze

An elderly woman was killed in a fire at an unfinished building at the corner of Pechon and West streets in downtown Kingston that was the home of numerous people.

It’s not clear how the fire started.

However, it sent people scurrying for safety.

Some people, however, risked their safety to secure their furniture and appliances.

A woodwork shop in the building was destroyed in the blaze.
