UTech students benefit from on-time tuition payment
The University of Technology (UTech) has demonstrated its appreciation for students paying tuition fees in full and on time by granting 662 individuals a three per cent rebate for Semester One of Academic Year 2016-2017.
The cost of the initiative is $3 million.
In addition, 10 students from the same group have been randomly selected to receive cash awards of $25,000 each, which were presented to them by UTech President, Professor Stephen Vasciannie, recently.
Announcing the tuition rebate and the cash awards, UTech director of student financing Garcia McLennon took the opportunity to explain the significance of the Census Registration Date, applicable each semester.
McLennon noted that financial clearance has now been made easier with a number of flexible payment options.
McLennon encouraged students to make the extra effort to ensure that they meet the census registration date requirement each semester in order to benefit from no-faculty fee charges and opportunities to receive the university's on-time payment incentive.
