Narcotics police investigating ganja find at Kingston wharf

Narcotics detectives are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the seizure of ganja valued at $170,000 at the wharf in Kingston on Tuesday.
Reports received are that about 2:15 security officers were making checks in an area of the compound when irregularities were observed with a refrigerated container.
The Narcotics Police were called in and a search revealed a knapsack with 18 parcels of compressed ganja.
The drug weighed approximately 34 pounds.
