The Government paid out $426.4 million in judgment debts for the 2016-17 financial year.
This was disclosed by Attorney General, Marlene Malahoo Forte, in her contribution to the Sectoral Debate in Parliament on Wednesday.
Malahoo Forte told the House that the government continues to work to reduce the arrears despite financial constraints.
She said judgment payments are now up to June 2015.
The Attorney General noted that persons who received awards by the courts continue to complain about the long wait to get their money.
