Power failure disrupts water supply in some areas of St Mary, St Catherine
The National Water Commission (NWC) says customers in some sections of St Mary and St Catherine are currently without their regular water supply.
It says this is because of a power supply failure affecting operations at both the Industry Pen and Goldmine Water Treatment facilities.
Affected areas in St Mary are: Industry Pen Housing Scheme and Tree Hills District.
In St Catherine, affected areas include: Bellas Gate, Cocoa Ridge, Content, Sandy Ground, Marlie Hill, Wood Hall, Brown`s Hall and Gravel Hill.
Meanwhile, customers served by the Blackstonedge pumping station in St Ann are experiencing a disruption in service due to a broken main and turbidity levels affecting the facility.
Areas impacted include Blackstonedge and Whitehall.
The NWC says regular water supply will resume as soon as these problems are corrected.
