Police find gun on wall in Cherry Gardens, no arrest made

An illegal firearm containing 17 rounds of ammunition was seized in the upscale community of Cherry Gardens, St Andrew yesterday.

The police say no one was arrested.

It’s reported that a police team was on patrol in the community when they found the 9mm pistol on a wall along Cherry Drive.

Since the start of the year the police have seized more than 550 illegal guns and over 13,000 assorted rounds of ammunition.
