#NominationDay: South St Andrew – Dennis vows to upset ‘Poster Boy’ Golding
Dane Dennis, the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) standard bearer for the St Andrew South constituency has declared that he is no ‘Poster Boy’ nor is he a sacrificial lamb, but a man to tackle the issues.
Dennis will do battle with the People’s National Party’s (PNP) Mark Golding for the seat vacated by PNP stalwart Dr Omar Davis.
"My prospects are very good. Mr Golding obviously doesn’t know the issues of the people perhaps that is why he's posting up posters all over the place. I'm from the area, I know the issues, I'm not into posters, I'm into employment, street lights and so on, things that the people actually want," declared Dennis.
The outspoken youngster argued that the constituents are fed up with the PNP’s leadership of the constituency.
Scores of JLP supporters gathered at the St Luke's Anglican Church in Cross Roads to cheer on Dennis who has promised Golding a beating in the October 30 polls.
