JPS names several Trelawny and St Ann areas without power
The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) says that high winds and flooding, associated with the cold front being experienced by the island, has resulted in power outages in Trelawny and St Ann.
Areas in Trelawny that are affected include:
Top Trelawny,
Duensvale,
Stewart Town
JPS says flooding has prevented personnel from making the commute to work – resulting in the temporary closure of the Bill Express section of the JPS Customer Service Office in Falmouth.
JPS says customers in St Ann who are impacted by outages are in the following areas:
Wild Cane,
Silver Spray,
Runaway Bay,
Beverly,
Lime Hall,
Bamboo,
Cardiff Hall,
Rose Hill,
Laughlands,
Iron Gate
Flooding also washed out four poles in the Mount Attarat area.
Other areas could also be impacted as the inclement weather conditions continue.
JPS wishes to assure its customers that its crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible.
