NWA continuing clean-up activities in Trelawny and St Ann
The National Works Agency (NWA) is continuing clean-up activities in Trelawny and St Ann following hours of rain yesterday.
Speaking on Independent Talk on Power 106 FM this morning, NWA Communication Manager, Stephen Shaw, said silt and other debris is being cleared from roads in both parishes.
Shaw said blocked drains are also being cleared.
Meanwhile, Mayor of St Ann’s Bay, Micheal Belnavis, said the municipal corporation continues to render assistance to affected areas.
The Meteorological Service of Jamaica says a Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for low lying and flood prone areas of all parishes.
The Met Service says the Stationary Front just east of Jamaica continues to produce unstable weather conditions.
It says the Front is expected to linger for another three days.
