Flash Flood Watch issued for all parishes
The National Meteorological Service has extended the Flash Flood Watch issued for low-lying and flood prone areas of all parishes until 5 o’clock today.
This as a stationary front across the central Caribbean continues to produce unstable weather conditions across the island.
The Met Service says as a result of this, cloudy conditions, with periods of showers and thunderstorms, are expected to continue to affect sections of most parishes, especially northern and southeastern parishes into tonight.
It says flash flooding is therefore possible over low-lying and flood prone areas.
A Flash Flood Watch means that flooding is possible and residents should take precautionary measures, listen for updates from the Met Service and be ready for quick action if flooding occurs or if a warning is issued.
