EOJ finalising by-elections budget

Director of Election Orrette Fisher says he’ll today be finalising the budget to be submitted to the finance ministry for the by-elections.
He says the EOJ will be making announcements on the by-elections later this week.
However, Fisher says the EOJ does not yet have the full complement of workers required for the by-elections.

Fisher has also admitted to being caught off guard by the announcement of the March 5 by-elections.
He says while it is not required by law for his office to be notified, there would usually be a meeting to discuss the readiness of the EOJ for such an election and he would be told to prepare.
