UPDATE: Falmouth Hospital staff injured in stone-throwing attack
Three staff members of the Falmouth Hospital in Trelawny were injured this morning when the health facility came under attack by a group of irate persons.
The glass facade to the Accident and Emergency Department was shattered by the stone-throwing group.
Chairman of the Board of the Falmouth Hospital, Kenneth Grant, says security will be increased at the health facility as a result.
He did not say the extent of the injuries sustained by the hospital staff.
Reports reaching The Gleaner/Power 106 news centre are that relatives and friends of a man who sustained injuries in a crash on the Martha Brae main road became irate after he died while undergoing treatment.
They contend that the man's death could have been prevented if he had received medical treatment in a speedy manner.
