SLB sets new date to publish names and faces of delinquent borrowers

The Students' Loan Bureau (SLB) says it has pushed back by a week the planned publication of the names and faces of delinquent borrowers.

Over the years, the SLB has been publishing the names of delinquent borrowers in an effort to encourage them to pay up their loans or at the very least contact the agency to work out a payment plan.

Another edition of the faces of chronic delinquent borrowers was scheduled to be published on March 4.

However, in a release last evening, the SLB said publication has been pushed back to March 11.

It says this is due to the positive response to the notice of publication of the names and faces of Delinquent Borrowers.

It says such persons now have until Tuesday, March 6, to make suitable payment arrangements to avoid publication on March 11.
