Courtesy call highlights charitable excellence

Governor of Kiwanis Eastern Canada and the Caribbean Robert 'Bobby' Moo Young and a delegation of Kiwanis leaders in Division 23 East made a courtesy call on Sir Patrick Allen, governor general of Jamaica, recently.

As part of the courtesy call to the governor general, Moo Young took the opportunity to highlight the work of Kiwanis in Jamaica and the impact that this international organisation has made on improving the lives of children and the most vulnerable in the society.

During his visit to the Kiwanis Eastern Canada and the Caribbean, Moo Young also participated in a cocktail reception with selected Kiwanians and executives at the divisional level, luncheon with Key Club student leaders, media appearances, and a service project at the Bustamante Children's Hospital.

Founded in 1915, Kiwanis International is a global organisation of clubs and members dedicated to serving the children of the world. Kiwanis and its family of clubs, including Circle K International for university students, Key Club for students aged 14-18, Builders Club for students aged 11-14, Kiwanis Kids for students aged 6-12, and Action Club for adults living with disabilities, dedicate more than 18 million service hours annually to strengthening communities and serving children.
