Police seize more than 1,000 rounds in major ammunition bust

The police have made another major recovery of illegal ammunition.
They say Wednesday morning more than 1,000 rounds of assorted ammunition were seized during an operation in the Calvary Cemetery in St Andrew.
Inspector of Police at the Denham Town Police in Kingston Marcia Blake said about 6 o'clock, a police team was on patrol in the area and conducted a search of the cemetery.
She says three men, who were inside the cemetery, saw the police and ran leaving a bag behind.

She says the bag was recovered and the ammunition found inside.
A manhunt is now on for the men.
