High turbidity affecting water supply to several St Mary communities

The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising that several St Mary communities have been experiencing disruptions in their water supply, which is due to high turbidity levels affecting the White River Treatment Plant.

In a release today, the NWC said it has been forced to shutdown the White River Treatment Plant, as well as several relift stations that are dependent on the facility.

The water utility says regular water supply will be restored as soon as prevailing weather conditions improve.

Areas affected include: Endeavour, Cascade, Spring Valley, St Mary Country Club, parts of Balmoral, Charles Town, Three Hills, Rock Cottage, Grass Land, Industry Pen Relift and Charles Town Relift, Rose Street and Ross Common.
