NWC reporting major break in water main in Manor Park, several communities now without water

The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that road works being carried out in Manor Park in St Andrew has caused a major break to its water transmission pipeline.

The NWC says it has been forced to shut down operations at its Constant Spring Water Treatment Facility so as to carry out necessary assessment and repairs.

The agency says as a result customers will experience low water pressure or have no water until the repairs are completed.

Areas impacted are:

Constant Spring, Norbrook, Cherry Gardens, Havendale, Half-Way-Tree, Lady Musgrave, Liguanea, Manor Park, Shortwood, Eastwood Park Gardens, Hughenden, Constant Spring Road & Gardens, Camperdown, Mannings Hill Road, Red Hills Road, Arlene Gardens, Roehampton, Calabar Mews, Zaidie Gardens, State Gardens, Molynes Road, Washington Boulevard and Dunrobin Avenue.

The NWC says it is working to have service restored by late tomorrow Wednesday, April 5.
