Prisoner escapes from Yallahs courthouse

The police have intensified searches and other operations in St Thomas following the escape of a prisoner earlier today.
The prisoner escaped at the Yallahs courthouse in the parish.
His name, the offence for which he was brought to court or the circumstances under which he escaped could not be immediately ascertained.
However, as part of efforts to find him, the police have been stopping vehicles and conducting searches in the parish.
