The memorial service for the two wards of the State who perished in a fire that destroyed the structure of the Walker's Place of Safety is to be held tomorrow.

Twelve-year-old Anika McCrea and 16-year-old Annakay Moreland died in the January 16 fire that also displaced 34 other wards and their caregivers.

The memorial is organised by the Child Protection and Family Services (CPFS) agency to pay tribute to the girls. Their funeral is expected to be held separately at a later date.

Among those to be in attendance at tomorrow's event to be held at the Faith Tabernacle Shiloh Apostolic Church, 55A Lyndhurst Road, Kingston 5 are: State Minister with responsibility for the youth portfolio, Floyd Green, Opposition Leader Dr Peter Phillips and Children's Advocate Diahann Gordon Harrison.
