The National Works Agency (NWA) says start 9 o' clock tomorrow morning a section of the Greenvale to Spur Tree Main Road in Manchester will be reduced to single lane traffic, in the vicinity of the Total Gas Station, to facilitate rehabilitation works.

Community Relations Officer at the NWA, Howard Hendriks, says the works are to be undertaken over six weeks.

“The improvements in the road surface, along what is a busy corridor, will allow for the movement of traffic and ease of access to major communities such as Junction, Alligator Pond, Santa Cruz, Goshen, Mandeville, Porus and Savanna la Mar”.

Motorists are being encouraged to obey the instructions of flagmen and traffic signs posted along the corridor.

The NWA says some $21 million dollars is being spent on the project under its ongoing $1.35 billion Local Rehabilitation and Drainage Improvement Programme Capital A Programme.
