Vaz, Campbell say sorry for boisterous behaviour in Parliament
Portland Western Member of Parliament Daryl Vaz and St Ann North West MP Dr Dayton Campbell this afternoon said sorry for their boisterous behaviour in Parliament last week.
The legislators rose shortly after the start of the sitting to express regret.

Vaz said he was scolded by his father, Douglas.
The elder Vaz is a former member of parliament for St Andrew North Central in the 1970s and 1980s.
"No other than my father scolded me and told me that he taught me long ago that two wrongs, or three or four wrongs don’t make a right. So there’s no reason," said Vaz.
Meanwhile, Campbell has vowed that the display would not be repeated.
"I owe a certain level of behaviour and conduct to my children who are looking on, to my constituents, supporters and even my foes that I should not conduct myself in such a way that would make them feel that the behaviour is inappropriate," Campbell said.

House Speaker Pearnel Charles acknowledged the apologies.
He also warned that he would be insisting that the rules of the House be observed for all sittings.
Last week, Vaz and Campbell clashed during exchanges over the Cornwall Regional Hospital.

It happened after Vaz asserted that Campbell was advocating for the closure of the hospital because he stood to benefit personally from an increased patient load at the privately-run Hospiten hospital.
Campbell works at Hospiten in a private capacity.
Mould and irritants at the Cornwall Regional Hospital have been caused staff and patients to fall ill for more than a year.
Sections of the hospital have since been evacuated.
