Law students to benefit from JamBar breakfast party

The Gazebo, Hope Gardens, St Andrew, is expected to come alive tomorrow as The Jamaican Bar Association (JamBar) hosts its Bar Beat breakfast party.

Proceeds from the event are expected to go towards scholarships and bursaries for students at the Norman Manley Law School.

Malike Kellier, public relations officer, JamBar, said the all-inclusive event, which begins at 6 a.m. and ends at noon, will have food to suit every palate and lots of drinks for patrons to be 'called to the bar'.

"This event is an opportunity for young and old to relax and enjoy the morning's event," said Kellier.

This is the third renewal of Bar Beat, but it is the first time the association is staging a breakfast party.

JamBar celebrates its 45th anniversary this year. It is a voluntary organisation comprised of attorneys-at-law called to the Jamaican Bar.

Pre-sold tickets cost $6,500; the entry fee at the venue is $7,000. Music will be provided by DJ Inferno.
