JEP to host free health fair in Old Harbour Bay
The health of a community, including ease of access to medical care and community resources, is of utmost importance to Jamaica Energy Partners (JEP). Conscious of the economic burden of chronic diseases, JEP is determined to help lessen their impact via community intervention.
On Friday, JEP will host its fourth annual health and wellness fair at the Old Harbour Bay Primary School from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. The fair, which will be held under the theme, 'Live Healthy, Live Long', will provide a variety of services geared towards facilitating healthier lifestyles.
These health services and benefits will be offered throughout the day at no cost to the public and will include vision screening, hearing tests, blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, cholesterol tests as well as various presentations from partners.
Other agencies such as the National Health Fund (NHF); The Jamaica Red Cross; Family Planning of Jamaica; Sagicor; Registrar's General Department; PICA; Ministry of Labour and Social Security; VMBS; BASCO; National Council on Drug Abuse; St. Catherine Health Department; TAJ; Dental Services; Jamaica Cancer Society and Beulah Baptist International Church will be in attendance.
