Pelican Projections: a university for the future - The UWI Guilds host panel discussion

The four campuses of The University of the West Indies (The UWI) staged a thought-provoking panel discussion during Chancellor's Week, July 23-29. The event, theme 'A University for the Future - UWI then, UWI now, UWI to come', was led by young leaders from The UWI, government and other spheres at the Faculty of Law Lecture Theatre.

Hosted by Krystal Tomlinson, past vice-president of the Mona Guild of Students, and Roger Bent, past president of the Mona Guild of Students, presenters included UWI graduates, Howard Brown, immediate past president, The UWI Open Campus Guild of Students; Kai Bridgewater, president of the Guild of Students, Cave Hill campus, 2017-2018; Raymond Pryce, former member of parliament; and Debbie Bisoon, media personality, marketing and public-relations consultant.

The presenters shared their opinions on the way forward and on opportunities, lessons learned, and partnerships formed at The UWI.
