Male prisoner escapes from KPH

A police manhunt is now on for a prisoner who escaped from the Kingston Public Hospital this morning.
He is 50-year-old Eric Banner, otherwise called ‘Whites’, whose last known address is West Cumberland, Portmore in St Catherine.
The police say Banner, who was admitted at the hospital, escaped about 6:00 a.m.
Banner, according to the police, was arrested and charged on Friday, June 8 for shooting with intent, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.
He's also charged with possession of counterfeit notes.
The police are reminding members of the public that it is an offence to harbour criminals and that they can be charged for such action.
