Gov't town hall meeting | Heroes Circle development to be put to tender

Prime Minister Andrew Holness has disclosed that the massive development to take place at the National Heroes Circle will be put to tender. 

The prime minister underscored that while some companies specialise in mega projects that would dwarf the scope of the one now being contemplated for the National Heroes Circle, there are rules governing how the procurement process should be conducted. 

“Once we have finished the master plan, the procurement phase of it will be a competitive process,” Holness said, as he sought to put concerns to rest.  

He stressed also that, given the financial position of the country, the Government would have to proceed with caution in how it engages companies to undertake the project.
