Judge orders police to charge or release Tesha Miller
Parish Judge Vaughn Smith today issued an order for the police to either charge or release reputed leader of the Clansman gang Tesha Miller.
Miller and his girlfriend have been in custody since Monday after they were picked up in a shopping area in St Andrew by detectives from the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch.
Today, attorney-at-law Able-Don Foote from the law firm Knight, Junior and Samuels brought an application in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court for Miller's immediate release.
The judge, on hearing the application, ordered that Miller be charged or released by 9 a.m on Friday, November 2.
Miller was deported from the Bahamas in April 2017.
On his return to Jamaica, Miller was charged with making a false declaration to immigration officers at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.
He pleaded guilty and was fined.
