Temporary shutdown of Harbour River water-supply plant in St Andrew
National Water Commission (NWC) customers served by the Harbour River water-supply system in St Andrew are being urged to store water because they will be without the commodity for at least two weeks.
The NWC says that it will be carrying out rehabilitation works on the system from November 26 to December 10.
This will affect supply to sections of Bloxburgh and Harbour River.
Residents are being urged to store water, where possible, for the duration of the disruption and to carefully monitor water use.
The agency says that the project will result in an improvement in the water quality supplied to residents.
