Mother of St Hugh’s schoolgirl becomes second fatality of house bombing

Shanna-Kaye Bowen, the mother of 15-year-old St Hugh’s High School student Tashi Munda, has succumbed to her injuries which she received when their house was set ablaze on Sunday.
Tashi died from her injuries Wednesday night while Bowen’s battle for survival ended last night.
As news spread of the second death, the community of Salisbury Plain, which is about six miles north of Stony Hill in St Andrew, was plunged into further mourning.
“All now we still a bawl from Sunday. First Tasha, now her mother, a bare bawling up in a dem lane,” one resident told The Gleaner.
“The whole district cut up over it. We want dem hold dem, especially the husband. From Sunday it’s on everybody lips. We did a pray dem survive but dem did burn bad,” added the resident as she wept uncontrollably.
The Gleaner understands that the police have launched a hunt for two suspects including the husband of the deceased woman.
