Traffic delays on Mandela Highway, Washington Boulevard

The police are advising members of the public to expect delays while traversing Washington Boulevard due to work being conducted by the National Water Commission (​NWC) in the vicinity of Cooreville Gardens.

As a result of the works, the westbound leg of Washington Boulevard has been closed to vehicular traffic.

The eastbound lanes have been converted to two way.

This has resulted in a pile-up of traffic on Mandela Highway.

Motorists are being advised to exercise patience and obey the instructions of police personnel.
