Solicitor General Nicole Foster-Pusey tipped to become Appeal Court judge

Solicitor General Nicole Foster-Pusey is tipped to become one of three new Court of Appeal judges, Gleaner sources have revealed.

The Judicial Service Commission is expected to make the announcement soon.

Foster-Pusey has declined to comment on the development.

"I don’t think it would be appropriate for me to talk about it until the appointment has been made," she told The Gleaner today.

Following an $846 million expansion, the Appeal Court was last week reopened by President Justice Dennis Morrison and Justice Minister Delroy Chuck.

Morrison disclosed then that during the course of 2019, three judges will be recruited with a view to bringing the court up to its full complement of 12 judges plus the president by the beginning of 2020.
