Adventist world church president to visit Jamaica
Plans are in high gear by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Jamaica to welcome its world president, Pastor Ted Wilson, on February 1.
Wilson, who will be here for 11 days, will lead a delegation of approximately 200 Adventist church leaders from across Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America to participate in the 12th Global Leadership Summit to be held in Montego Bay from February 4-8. The summit will focus on healthy lifestyles.
“The Adventist Church in Jamaica is excited, and, indeed, honoured, to have our world church president with us on this historic visit to Jamaica,” said Pastor Everett Brown, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Jamaica.
“We hope that their presence in Jamaica will motivate and encourage our members to be more involved in advancing the mission of Jesus and the wholistic development of the communities in which the church serves.”
Wilson’s delegation will also be involved in the church’s ‘Mission Project 2019’, which was launched earlier this month in partnership with the Ministry of Health and its Jamaica Moves exercise initiative.
