Petrojam rejects reports of impending strike

Petrojam Limited has moved to dispel reports of impending disruptions in the gasoline retail trade, following a message circulating via social media advising motorists to stock up on fuel because of possible strike action at the refinery. 

"We wish to assure our customers and the motoring public that there are no threats of industrial action at the refinery," Petrojam General Manager, Winston Watson said in a statement this morning.  

He said the unions representing the workers have also indicated that there is no truth claims that workers are restive.

According to Watson, the loading racks in Kingston and Montego Bay will be open for regular business on Thursday.
