Truck driver charged after mowing down St Catherine mom, 3yo daughter

The Spanish Town Traffic Department has charged a man with causing death by dangerous driving following a motor vehicle crash on Morrison Street in St Catherine last Tuesday.
He is 26-year-old Major-Mark Bennett, a truck driver of Henry Morgan Avenue, Kingston 11.
It is reported that about 5:40 p.m. Bennett was driving a Mitsubishi Fuso Truck along Morrison Street when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with 37-year-old Diana Taylor and her 3-year-old daughter both of Morrison Street.
Taylor and her daughter were taken to hospital where the woman was pronounced dead and her daughter admitted in a stable condition.
A date is to be set for Bennett to appear in court.
