Portmore teacher fatally shot, teen injured in home invasion

A 35-year-old teacher is now dead and a male teenager hospitalised following a gun attack at their house in Westmeade, Bridgeport, St Catherine early morning.

The deceased has been identified as Clevon Campbell, who was an educator at the Belmont Park Primary in the municipality.

The police say the teen is in serious condition.

The police report that about 3:15 a.m., Campbell and the teen were at the premises when men armed with guns broke in.

They reportedly opened fire hitting both persons.

The police were called and on their arrival, Campbell and the teen were found suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were taken to hospital where Campbell died and the teen was admitted.
