Water restored to Albion and environs in St Thomas, NWC reports
The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that water supply has been restored to customers served by the Albion Estates water supply system in St Thomas.
The NWC says work to replace the damaged pump was completed on Tuesday and residents who were affected by the unplanned disruption are now benefitting from piped supply.
Residents have complained that they have been without the commodity for two weeks.

The utility company says its teams are still conducting checks at various points throughout the communities to ensure that reasonable supply is being accessed by residents in Albion Estates, Sun Valley, Grants Pen and Eleven Miles.
The agency says it holds the welfare of residents in high regard and so every effort was made to correct the problem with the pump.
Following the removal of the damaged pump over two weeks ago, the NWC says it installed an interim unit which was supplying a section of the Albion.
Based on the shortfall of the interim unit, the agency says efforts to provide trucked water to the residents within the area, but it is accepted that some residents were not served depending the delivery times and other inherent trucking limitations.
