Three suspected suicides in four days

A St Elizabeth farmer yesterday became the third person suspected to have committed suicide over a four-day period this week.

He has been identified as Winston Salmon, 50, who resided in Black River.

According to the Black River Police, citizens reported seeing Salmon’s body dangling from a bridge with a piece of rope around his neck in the community of Rock district.

The body of a still unidentified man was found by residents shortly after midday on Tuesday hanging by a rope that was tied to a beam beneath a bridge on Patrick Drive, which runs off Washington Boulevard, in St Andrew.

The body is of dark complexion and was clad in a black shirt and blue jeans pants

The following day, according to the Manchester Police, the body of Michael Angel, a 59-year-old farmer from the community of Christiana, was found by relatives hanging from a piece of rope at his home.
