Minor in custody following gun recovery

The police are reporting that a minor is in custody in relation to the recovery of a gun and ammunition that was seized following an attempted robbery at a business place in Red Hills, St Andrew last night.
The police say they seized a .40 Smith and Wesson pistol and eight .40 cartridges.
The Red Hills Police report that about 9:40 p.m., a team on patrol when they were notified that a business place in Burnside Valley, Red Hills was being robbed.
On the arrival of the police, the men reportedly ran.
An extensive search of the premises was later conducted and the weapon found.
The minor was subsequently taken into custody.
